The flexible multi-purpose sealant for all uses
The Sil Pack Multi-Purpose Sealant from KENT is the ideal replacement for rubber seals or reinforcement for existing seals. Thanks to its insulating and strongly bonding properties, the product can also be used in gear boxes, water pumps and motors, but also enclosures. Sil Pack is a so-called RTV sealant, this means, it vulcanises at room temperature and therefore seals especially fast and effectively. At the same time, it is resistant against most heavy and light oils. Use the multi-purpose sealant also against rattling and leaking joints as well as filler for damaged surfaces or to compensate for unevennesses. However, using Sil Pack at joint depths of more than 10 mm is not recommended.
Application notes for Sil Pack Multi-purpose Sealant
First clean and degrease both surfaces using the KENT Surface Cleaner or the Soft Surface Cleaner and then allow the surfaces to flash off. If separating both surfaces easily in the future is required, you may oil or grease one of them. Now apply a uniform bead of the Sil Pack Multi-purpose Sealant to one of the surfaces and press both surfaces together until the desired distance has been reached. Sil Pack is not suitable for application areas coming into constant contact with gasoline, diesel, acid or hydrocarbons. Pure glycols or undiluted coolants may cause Sil Pack to swell.
